Staff from the multi award-winning entertainment complex in the Southside of Glasgow are pounding the streets of Glasgow next month in aid of two key charities.
Jonathan Board from ODEON Luxe is running the AJ Bell Great Scottish Run in Glasgow on 1 Oct for SAMH, something he has been doing since 2000 and Kat Kennedy, Marketing Manager for The Quay is taking on a 100 mile walking challenge to support the work of The Beatson Cancer Charity.
Staff from ODEON Luxe Glasgow Quay have already raised over £4569 for SAMH this year, the Scottish Association for Mental Health and Jonathan’s efforts follow on from other team members taking part in the Kiltwalk in Edinburgh in early September.
Kat has so far raised £590 in the last few weeks and had first-hand experience of the amazing services provided by The Beatson this year at Gartnavel Hospital and is keen to give something back to such an invaluable service for cancer patients and their families across the west of Scotland.
The Quay’s Centre Manager Fraser Mackay said, ‘We are delighted to see our staff members across the complex support such fantastic causes and we wish both Kat and Jonathan the best of luck with their impressive sporting efforts this coming month.’
Both Kat and Jonathan have Just Giving pages for their respective charities. Their details are below:
